Year 6️⃣ has officially kicked off! I’m teaching Second grade again this year. Looking forward to another great year as an @NorthRidgeES Unicorn! 🦄

@nckhui Sort of. Many people think this, but we are actually paid at the end of each month for roughly the previously 2 weeks of work and then for the upcoming 2 weeks of work. So our August check is for the second part of August and the first half of September and so on each month.

Iceland lived up to everything I had read about it! My mom and I spent the week road tripping across this beautiful country seeing waterfalls, puffins 🐧, glaciers on black sand beaches, and stunning churches perched on hills in tiny villages. 🇮🇸🧊🦭🐧🐑🐴🌋

Today was the @Letterland parade at @NorthRidgeES! These 2️⃣nd graders were 2️⃣ syllable words that they quick coded! I love how creative they were with their syllable signs and costumes! 🐯🕷️🥓🥶

I know some @NorthRidgeES second graders that are going to be excited to see this movie when it comes to theaters! Our class is nearly done with reading aloud the first Wild Robot book by @itspeterbrown and I can’t wait to read book two with my Ss to end the school year! 🤖🪿🏝️📖

🦖 The @NorthRidgeES 2nd Graders had a blast at our Fossil Dig Day! These paleontologists in training did several hands on activities to inspire and prepare for our narrative writing unit.
