A woman allegedly accused a poor pushcart vendor of abusing a female dog — and within minutes, a mob gathered to attack the couple without proof, without police and without any investigation.
The male vendor was assaulted.
His wife was beaten so badly that she reportedly suffered serious head injuries.
This toxic culture is growing because certain women know one emotional allegation is enough to trigger public violence against ordinary people.
No evidence needed. No due process needed.
Just outrage, screaming and mob attacks in the name of “activism.”
Today poor vendors are being targeted. Tomorrow any innocent man or family can become the next victim of these self-appointed street enforcers.
This is not compassion. This is violent harassment culture.

Experiences with Maha Periyava: Compassion to the Nomad
This happened at a village near Villupuram. A man from the narikurava (nomad) tribe who was camping there decided to commit suicide due to family complications. He came to the railway station and stretched himself on the platform, with the intention of jumping onto the rails when the next train came.
The man slept in a place nearby thinking about this in his mind. He had a dream-like vision, wherein a saamiyar (sage) appeared before him and said, "You need not end your life. Come and see me. I shall grant you peace." He woke up with a start. A wave of freshness spread through his body.
It occurred him to search for the sage who came in his dream. He sold the gold ring he had been wearing for a long time and started on his search using the cash he got for the ring. He went from village to village and had darshan of many sages, but none resembled the man who came in his dream. He did not give up though he was depressed.
Maha Periyava was camping at that time in the village called Ekambarakuppam near Vellore. The nomad who came that side sighted the sage one evening. He stood before the camp entrance and started shouting excitedly: "Oh Saami! This is the Saami! You asked me to come! Come on, come out!" Sri Periyava called Rajammal and told her, "Find out who he is and serve him some food. I shall see him tomorrow morning."
As Rajammal went to him and said, "Appa, who are you? I shall serve you food. Saami will see you in the morning and talk to you!" He repled, "Yes, Thaayi (mother)! I had a quarrel with my two wives. I married a third girl. One day I saw her mixing poison in the food she served to me. I was shattered and decided to end my life. At that time this Saamiyar came in my dream and asked me to see him."
Periyava came out the next morning. The nomad immediately wailed, "Saami! You appear to me like my mother. I want to stay with you. Wherever you go, I will sweep and clean the place.and be with you always!"
Periyava said, "Get back to your village properly. People will treat you with respect henceforth. You think of me whenever you face a difficult situation. Everything will be alright!" He gave the nomad fruits and blessed him. He also gave money collected from the people present there and sent him back to his place.
This incident was narrated to me by Pudukottai Rajammal. When this happened, Trichy Subhalakshmi, Trichy Dharmambal and some other women were there with her.

Experiences with Maha Periyava: Sri Maha Periyava and Kamaraj
Sri K.Kamaraj was a prominent National Leader and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu known for his simplicity and integrity. He played a major role in developing the infrastructure of the State of Tamil Nadu and worked to improve the quality of life of the needy and the disadvantaged.
Whenever I met Kamaraj, he used to ask me without fail, "How is Periyava?"
You should have His darshan at least once", I used to tell him.
"Yes, I too feel the same way... But, I am not getting the right opportunity...", Kamaraj told me.
Once I invited Kamaraj to have His darshan when he came to Kanchipuram for election related work.
"Not today. It is not correct to have His darshan when I have actually come for election work! It will be respectful only if I exclusively come to meet Him alone!"
A few months before he passed away, Kamaraj had darshan of Periyava at Kalavai (which is approximately 44 kms from Kanchi). On hearing that he was coming, Periyava told His kainkaryam people, "He is not keeping good health! Please do not make him walk for long distances. Let him come by car to the maximum extent possible. Please clear off stones and thorns on the path where he walks, so that he can walk comfortably!
They had kept a stool for Kamaraj to be seated. When Periyava motioned him to sit, he refused to sit!
No words were exchanged between Kamaraj and Sri Periyava for a long time. When it was time for him to leave, Kamaraj told Periyava:
"People should live comfortably without any difficulties. Periyava should give His Blessings!"
Periyava lifted His hands and blessed!
And, Kamaraj did not keep the Prasadam that Periyava had given him on the car seat or in his pocket or did he give it to others to carry. He kept that Treasure in his own hands!
