This is how to predict your future:
I made this tweet yesterday:
“The closest prediction of your future is the result of the top guy in your industry. If you beat them, then you are an anomaly.”
A few people asked me to explain, so here goes -
If you are a doctor, the top guy in your industry is the CONSULTANT.
His life is the best possible outcome of your future - because it is the end game of your career path.
Which means, if he earns ₦800k a month, your future top earning will be around ₦800k, plus everything & the life that income gives him.
You will not escape this end game - NO MATTER how hard you work. Because the game is capped.
Which means, the best way to make more than ₦800k and have a life significantly better than the Consultant is NOT to work harder; it is to EXIT the game he is playing.
Working harder will simply accelerate you towards the unfavorable end game. So why play it?
Which means you need to find a player that has the life you want.
In the case of the hospital, it can be the doctor that owns a hospital chain.
So if your end game is to be rich, then the hospital chain doctor's game is the best play. Not that of the Consultant.
End games are scattered all around us.
If you are a teacher, you can look at the principal or highest-paid school administrator.
If you are a banker, look at the branch manager, regional manager or executive director.
If you are a lawyer, look at the senior partner of the law firm.
If you are a civil servant, look at the director or permanent secretary.
If you are a footballer, look at the highest level you can realistically reach in that career and ask yourself if that life is what you want.
If you are a taxi driver, look at the guy who has spent 20 years driving and ask yourself if you want his end game.
If you are playing the JAMB => university=>NYSC =>9-5 game, look at where the person 20 years ahead of you ended up.
If you are an entrepreneur selling products online, look at the biggest person playing the same game. Trace what game they are REALLY playing, instead of just working hard.
You must ask: “Do I even want his end game? or do i need to play a different game”
Because if you don't like the destination, working harder is actually a bad strategy.
Dear you, between the ages of 21 and 29.
1. Open a mutual fund investment account.
2. Start making a monthly deposit of anywhere between 30,000 and 200,000 naira. Whatever you can afford consistently. In 10 to 15 years, you will be a multimillionaire.
3. Invest in books. Buy financial and investment books and actually read them. I recommend:
- The Automatic Millionaire by David Bach
- I Will Teach You to Be Rich by Ramit Sethi
- The Little Book of Common Sense Investing by John C. Bogle
- The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason
- Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
- The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey
- The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley
- Your Money or Your Life by Vicki Robin
- Atomic Habits by James Clear
- Die With Zero by Bill Perkins
4. Exercise daily. Avoid sitting in one position for too long. Even if you work as a receptionist, stand up and stretch every 2 hours. Your health is your first investment.
5. One woman is enough for you. Avoid chasing multiple women. Womanizing is not a flex. It is a financial and emotional drain that will set you back years.
6. Take out at least 30% of your income every single month and put it to work. Invest in stocks. Invest in mutual funds. Invest in a business. Just invest.
7. Learn Cybersecurity. It is one of the highest paying and most in demand skills in the world right now.
8. Drink two glasses of warm water every morning before breakfast.
9. Wake up by 6am daily and try to be in bed by 10pm. Discipline in your sleep is discipline in your life.
10. This is the best time to start your investment journey. As you grow older, responsibilities will pile up and it becomes harder to set money aside. But if you build the discipline now, in 5 to 10 years you will already be addicted to investing and you will be glad you started when you did.
Your future self is watching every decision you make today. Make them count.
Above all, love God.
Do you realise that much of what you do today is shaped by what you believe will happen tomorrow?
Your actions are not controlled only by your present circumstances. They are also controlled by your expectations of the future.
Imagine a prophet tells you that if you leave your house within the next seven days, you will be hit by a car and die.
If you truly believe the prophecy, you will not leave the house.
You may cancel meetings, postpone important plans, refuse to go to work and avoid even the smallest risk. Nothing has actually happened yet, but your belief about the future has already changed your behaviour in the present.
That is an extreme example, but the principle applies everywhere.
If you believe a business will fail, you will hesitate to invest in it, promote it or give it your full effort.
If you believe people will reject you, you may avoid speaking to them.
If you believe exercise will eventually transform your body, you are more likely to endure the discomfort of training.
If you believe your sacrifices will produce a better life, you can tolerate temporary inconvenience, delayed gratification and uncertainty.
This means your picture of the future is quietly directing your present decisions.
People often think they are reacting to reality, when in fact they are reacting to their prediction of reality.
The future has not happened yet, but the future you imagine is already influencing your choices.
That is why changing your life often begins with changing what you believe is possible. When your expectations change, your actions change. And when your actions change consistently, your future begins to change with them.
How to INVOKE smart ancestors on claude (sort of)
- Go on Claude
- Create a Project for one area of your life
- Then ask ChatGpt that if you were to create a board of director for that area, who would be on it and which skill set should they have.
- Then use ChatGpt to create a prompt for that project, invoking every expert with that skill set.
- Then create a project with it, and that project should be used to weigh your decisions and give you a logical breakdown you can use to make better decisions.
Once you have the facts, and the pros and cons from your board - then you decide as the CEO.
Below is a screenshot of my board of directors, trained in all the fallacies and mental models possible - so when i am considering an idea i am looking at it coldly on the screen, then decide on the facts with my heart once i am done.
Use the master prompt here to create yours: https://t.co/nfKDMUdenS
open and then copy and paste
There’s a platform called Pila8 where you can earn $5 to $50+ completing audio and video tasks.
Payouts are available via local bank transfer, PayPal, or Amazon gift cards.
Yes, it’s open to Nigerians.
@niyetsel 😂 Anything, just anything is believable and plausible but we draw the line ones God is mentioned and forbid Jesus eve enters the discuss.
go and pray.
The brain does not hate hard work. It hates unclear effort. If it cannot see where the work is going, how long it will last, or why it matters, it starts treating the task like failure instead of a challenge.
To those of you that order in bulk from china you can use AI to turn this into a product business & Sell.. Use AI to build a website, use ChatGPT to get good photography of items, use higgsfield to create videos, use Claude to run ads etc… New update unlocked!!
Search “Claude marketing skill” on Google. Open the first GitHub link → Click on Skills → Search for the Ads skill → Download the raw file → open your Claude → go to skills → Add the raw file as a new skill → Save
Now open a new project → Type “/ads“ to use the skill → Build a system prompt(instructions) → feed AI everything it should know about your business → ask it to guide you.
Once you learn how to shop directly from China, E.g Temù or shien your wardrobe changes completely. Call me cheap I don't care I ain't rich, I don't do fraud.😭
It's knowing what to search for.
Here's my style after making plenty of mistakes.
1. T-shirts:
Skip 100% polyester unless you're buying gym wear.
Instead, search:
• 100% Cotton
• Combed Cotton
• Heavyweight Cotton
• 240-300 GSM Cotton
• Premium Cotton
• Mercerized Cotton
The heavier the GSM, the thicker and more premium the shirt usually feels.
2. Jeans:
Denim Jeans
Temu is surprisingly good for denim if you know what to search.
Search:
• Denim Jeans
• Cotton Denim
• Raw Denim
• Selvedge Denim (if available)
• 98% Cotton + 2% Elastane
• 99% Cotton
Avoid jeans with high polyester content. The more cotton, the better they'll age and feel.
3. Body-hug clothing:
Search:
• Ribbed Knit
• Modal
• Viscose Blend
• Cotton-Spandex Blend
They hold their shape much better than cheap polyester.
4. Hoodies
Search:
• 400 GSM
• French Terry
• Cotton Fleece
• Heavyweight Hoodie
5. Chains
Search:
• 316L Stainless Steel
• Titanium Steel
• PVD Gold Plated
• Vacuum Plated
These are far more resistant to fading than ordinary fashion jewelry.
6. Earrings
Search:
• 925 Sterling Silver
• 316L Stainless Steel
• Hypoallergenic
• Moissanite (if you're buying stones)
7. Scarves
Search:
• Mulberry Silk
• Silk Blend
• Cashmere Blend
• Wool Blend
• Viscose
Avoid the shiny, thin polyester scarves if you're after a premium look.
8. Loafers
Search:
• Genuine Leather
• Cow Leather
• Full Grain Leather (rare but worth looking for)
• Rubber Outsole
9. Sneakers
Search:
• Rubber Outsole
• EVA Midsole
• Breathable Mesh
• Leather Upper
• Stitched Sole
Pictures lie a lot
The description usually tells the truth.
Here's how I shop:
1. Read the material composition before anything else.
2. Sort by Most Orders or Best Selling, not cheapest.
3. Only buy products with lots of reviews or pictures or even better when a Nigerian has purchased it before they always tell the truth.
4. Read the 1-star reviews first. They'll tell you what the seller won't.
5. Look at customer photos, not the product photos.
6. Check the weight of the product. Better quality clothing is often heavier.
7. Read the size chart. Don't assume your Nigerian size matches.
8. If the title has words like "luxury," "premium," or "designer" but the material is 100% polyester, not everything but still move on.
Your best friend isn't the product picture.
It's the material, the reviews, and the customer photos.
That's how you separate the gems from the junk.
I hope this help.
Things are to expensive for a country this poor.
