It's what I did when I was younger, and it is nice being older and proud of who I was then, and not hounded by the mistakes I made.

I haven't thought about getting an agent in years. It's probably a bit easier with AI in terms of generating query letters to pitch your work.

Self publishing democratized things but added a ton of noise.
