@HaLaLaKalEl I woke up to his reply like, oh what have I done?! Definitely surreal to get a direct reply from James Gunn. Lately, I’m keeping busy working freelance in film as a script supervisor and in production offices, and still collaborating with Mattie on a few upcoming book projects.
10 years since the start of the Watchtower Database, and many moments that made me proud to be a co-founder, now tainted by exploitation and narcissistic vitriol. I’m grateful it didn’t take me another decade to realize.
@jcbedgar Always thought your art style would be perfect for a DCAU comic. So glad you got involved (in what seems to be a special extra story past the current BTAC series...hmm...) Also can't wait for ACE ADAMS!
@MattiePahl Harley and Ivy as a duo, and Morrison is one of the few writers I have a dedicated graphic novel collection of most of their published work. They wrote the series that hooked me on comics in the first place: JLA.
@dcauwatchtower@Fristwits I’ve seen it now! And I’d give it 7 tomato cans out of 10🥫 They really streamlined the best aspects of Flashpoint while also treading new territory. But I kinda hated the post-credits scene.
@Sebastian_Tug@Captain_JubJub@GailSimone Apologies! Those panels are right there on page 1 of Infinite Crisis #5. I must have misremembered, because there were a few differences between the printed issues and collected edition. https://t.co/SW1dE81Td4
@Sebastian_Tug@GailSimone I believe this was a “deleted scene” for the Infinite Crisis collection, not included in the original issues. I always liked these panels too.
@PaulMoo22273642@dcauwatchtower What if the Near Apocalypse of ‘09 was never meant to reference a date, but a group of villains referred to as The Oh Nine? 🤔
Fun fact: I swiped M. Night Shyamalan’s approach on Unbreakable by framing as many shots as possible in squares and rectangles to resemble comic book panels.
I participated in another 48 hour film project, the @sidewalkfilm Scramble! I wrote and directed with team Escape Goats for the superhero short film INEVITABLE. We won “best VFX” with our fish wire telekinesis!
@zacharyldiamond Sasha and I made WWTAS to be presented in the same style as the episode synopses that Warner Bros. used for BTAS, STAS, etc. so we were less concerned with detailing character personalities, and more focused on the general plot overview.
