@altcap Thank you Brad. Which bucket would you put Workday under? They likely have some moat due to the regulatory requirements across the world related to Payroll, but I’m not sure if their execution is top tier. Thoughts?
@altcap@friedberg GOOG’s vertical integration is a beast: custom TPUs for training/inference at rock-bottom costs. Gemini’s topping app charts, serving millions via massive distribution. Unmatched data from Search, YT, Gmail. And that profit machine? No endless fundraises like OAI.
@GuyDealership Its an amazing experience to buy directly from the manufacturer. No one wants to negotiate with multiple dealers just to not get ripped off; doesn’t matter if the dealers compete, less intermediaries mean more savings for the customers. Trust in dealerships is declining fast!
@GavinSBaker Always a pleasure reading your take, Gavin. Thank you! Curious to know what this means for large training compute providers (i.e. NVDIA) vs a bunch of inference providers (i.e. NVDIA, Groq, etc.)
@chamath@Jason I have never seen an ad with All In podcast, but this podcast with Bill Gurley shows up as a 2nd search result on YT, even though this one has ~500k views while the Joe Rogan video has 35M views. Its not about monetization clearly as JCal claims
