Lifetime Ban Minimum!
Where are the prosecutors?
Where is Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears? Where is Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita?
Athletes accept a certain level of contact when they step onto the court. That's the legal doctrine of implied consent. But implied consent is not a free pass for intentional acts that go far beyond normal play.
No one can legally consent to a felony assault.
When conduct crosses the line from aggressive competition to an intentional, potentially criminal act, it deserves more than a league review or a short suspension. It deserves a serious legal review.
If the evidence shows this wasn't simply part of the game, then prosecutors should explain why criminal charges are—or are not—being considered.
At the very least, a lifetime ban should be on the table.
Angelica Suffren (Referee #7) was looking directly at Alyssa Thomas who had her fist on CC’s neck. Yet she didn’t call anything and let the play go on.
We need to start calling out these referees who are either a) betting on games or b) letting CC get hammered out of spite!
SPORTSBALL: Referee Angelica Suffren is no fan of Caitlin Clark but knowing that she watched the attack on Clark without saying a word is pure evil. The WNBA needs to terminate her before someone really gets hurt.
