If you have #pets in the UK during this #heatwave, remember that our furry friends can overheat far more quickly than humans — especially in UK homes, which often aren’t built to handle extreme temperatures.
Walk dogs early in the morning or later in the evening, and always check the pavement temperature first, as hot surfaces can burn their paws.
Keep several water bowls around the house and offer wet food to help keep pets hydrated.
♡ Use sunscreen to avoid sunburn, which makes it harder for your body to cool itself.
I find that cool showers help as well! So make sure to stay safe and check on your family too! Have a lovely bank holiday weekend, everyone! ♡ - Mel
If you're in the #UK this weekend, make sure to stay hydrated during this back holiday #heatwave.
♡ Keep curtains or blinds closed on sun-facing windows
♡ Open windows early morning or late evening when it’s cooler outside
♡ Wear loose, lightweight, light-coloured clothing
A reminder for those who are struggling with their #mentalhealth, you're not alone in this ♡

As #InternationalNursesDay was yesterday, I wanted to show that it’s not just for one day that we should show our gratitude, regardless of the timing 💙 - Mel
A BIG thank you to all #Nurses worldwide who go out of their way to make a difference every day! Not enough appreciation is given to you, from supporting families through loss, standing beside mothers during labour, to preparing patients for life-changing operations.
Last year, I lost my Grandad, and honestly, without the nurses who were there supporting me, I don’t think I would’ve got through the hardest goodbye of my life so far. Their kindness, compassion, and comfort during such a painful time meant more than words can describe.
For all mothers in the USA, we’re wishing you a very #HappyMothersDay 💚
Thank you for the endless support, care, and love you give every day. For guiding us when we need direction, lifting us up when we feel down, and always reminding us that we are loved. -Mel 💚
A reminder that tomorrow is #VotingDay and your vote matters! Decisions about #education, jobs, climate, transport, and even internet laws are made by people who are elected. If you’re not part of that process, someone else is deciding your future for you.
And here’s the thing: young people are one of the biggest groups out there. If more teens and first-time voters actually showed up, they could seriously shape what happens next!
You don’t have to know everything about politics to care.
