People with CPTSD often develop what researchers call a negative self concept, a deep and persistent belief that they are fundamentally defective, worthless, or permanently damaged. This is different from low self esteem. Low self esteem is a thought. Negative self concept in CPTSD is a felt sense. A body level conviction that something is wrong at the core. It developed because prolonged trauma, especially in childhood, doesn't just hurt. It teaches.

Iโm genuinely astonished by the idea that you can be the very first patient of the day at the doctorโs office and still end up waiting 30 minutes to be seen.
The whole โyou and me against the worldโ trope melts me every time. Just imagine having someone who stays, who fights beside you, who never lets you feel like youโre carrying it all alone
A BPD ex was also a user of dr*gs and very much a user of people. As soon as they got what they wanted from someone, they destroyed everything on the way out. Ruined friendships.
Very much glad to be out of that world.
Anyone else experience the same?
My favorite thing about autistic people is that the ones not socialized into people-pleasing will absolutely tell you when you are working our last nerve. ๐
