@AMP86793444 I think Sarpanch was coined by @iSunilTaneja during his commentary stint. It is a very punjabi term that denotes authority/head of family. Our hockey captain is also referred by the same term . @PunjabKingsIPL is this correct?

Indian W played a cricket match against Pak.
That makes 3 sports for Dutch and 2 for India.

You are absolutely right—Ranji Trophy should be the benchmark for Tests. Auqib losing out- didn't make sense?
IPL should not become the common denominator for all discussions.

@offpacedelivery Vaibhav is still an unproven talent when it comes to fielding. The IPL Impact Player rule showcased only his batting. Most other batters can keep, bowl a few overs, or field exceptionally well. In my view, Vaibhav is still an unfinished product. T20 isn't a one-skill game.

@ovshake42 The hope is that in pursuit of excellence, this ruthless streak should continue. We seem to be talking only about T20, but Indian Test Cricket is suffering a lot. Create specialist for Test, including the coaching staff. Else Indian Cricket could go the WI way :(

@cricnator @AMP86793444 The impact player rule in IPL has only shown us his one part of the skill- batting. And he has to prove his worth as a good fielder. So it is okay to make him play the entire match. He has to get that feel.

@Shubham_Neuro Just like we have separate teams for T20 and specialist ODI and Test players, similar standards could also apply for coaching staff. While T20 can bring instand relief, the real stuff is Test cricket. India is currently hurting in the longest format. Need to think differently.

@AndyMacfaul @nimishdubey As a kid, I had raced home from school to watch the match on TV but Madan Lal and Kapil Dev finished the match before that. While the series was boring but Kapil’s 116 in Kanpur and India chasing 220+ in a ODI were highlights that I still remember.

@talksports45 Grapevine was that DC could not retain Pant due to his ambitions for captaincy while DC owners didn’t agree. So his captaincy credentials hae been under discussions. Pant should focus on playing and not think too much on leadership. He will rediscover himself.
