#Isaías continues to pull northward and is setting up for final approach around sunset into the Emerald coast. The storms core continues to perform very well sadly and that gave NHC confidence to up the intensity to Cat3 at some point during the day today. NHC expects a high end Cat2 at landfall. All hazards continue to be in play which NHC and local offices have outliined very well. If you asked to evac please do. Surge is no fun trust me.

To this point the shear hasn't been strong enough to cut into the systems development, but once we get it onshore tonight it will lose its fuel and weaken only tropically speaking. A transition to extratropical will occur quickly and inland impacts will stretch up into southern Appalachia...
