Dr Mahathir Mohamad has called on Malays to vote for Malay candidates instead of being beholden to party loyalty if they want “Tanah Melayu” to remain as such.
“Malays' loyalty is to the Malays. If this loyalty is given to parties or factions, then Tanah Melayu will be gone.
“Without Tanah Melayu, Malays will disappear from this world. Malays will be a people without a country,” the former premier said on Facebook last night.

🚨 Newcastle thought they had a deal in place for Victor Muñoz — before a late Liverpool hijack.
✔️ 💰 Newcastle had a fee of £29m (+£4.3m) ACCEPTED by Osasuna and the player had AGREED personal terms and told #NUFC he wanted to sign. Agent fees were also agreed.
👨🏻⚕️ Newcastle had the wheels in motion for a medical over in the US and were on the verge of completing a deal.
😐 But they were instructed to wait over the last 24 hours by the player's representatives, and #LFC swooped.
🔴 Liverpool had always been at the table for Muñoz so they didn't come in last minute, but agreed £34.5m release clause (two instalments) and Muñoz chose Anfield.
🤷🏽♂️ Newcastle now trying to get to the bottom of what happened in the last 24 hours, but there was always top competition for the winger last few weeks.
🚨🇪🇸 Behind Liverpool surprise deal: €40m for Víctor Muñoz, release clause activated, medical already done in the US.
Official statement to follow already this week. Big surprise after hijack with Real Madrid getting €20m.

Virgil Van Dijk scoring in a World Cup at 34 years of age.
At this stage of their careers:
• Rio Ferdinand was playing at QPR.
• Nemanja Vidic had already retired.
• John Terry was 31 and had already played his last game for England.
Yet Van Dijk is still captaining club and country, competing at the highest level, and delivering on the biggest stage.
Longevity. Consistency. Leadership.
The greatest centre-back of his generation isn't a debate anymore.
It's Virgil Van Dijk 🐐
@maxnonso Hear me out, what if that guy just stank? No one can say with certainty that this was down to racism when it could very simply just be that man's BO stinks
@SurenVynn I guess maybe he's speaking from a mainlanders Pov. But as you well know, in the end we are just Malaysian first and its almost impossible to find a Malaysian that doesn't like/eat local Indian food or dishes with Indian influence
There is absolutely no truth to reports suggesting that Kennet Eichhorn has rejected Liverpool. The reality is that discussions remain ongoing, with the main complexities relating to legal and regulatory structures surrounding signing-on payments and compensation mechanisms sought by the player’s camp, while Liverpool’s interest remains as strong as ever and the player’s long-term desire to join the club has never changed, with all parties continuing to explore solutions that could ultimately pave the way for his dream move to Anfield.
The original plan always envisaged Kennet Eichhorn spending time elsewhere before eventually arriving at Anfield due to the well-known legal complications surrounding underage transfers following Brexit, with Liverpool initially intending to sign the player before immediately loaning him out, while current discussions, involving Liverpool, the player’s camp and several potential destination clubs in Germany, are focused on an alternative route towards the same long-term objective, one that could see him permanently join a German side, with Bayer Leverkusen among the possibilities, before a release clause becomes active within a defined timeframe, potentially allowing Liverpool to complete the move at a later date once the relevant legal, regulatory and contractual considerations have been resolved.
For Liverpool, such a structure would provide a clear and legally secure route to secure a player they continue to value highly, while for Eichhorn it would preserve the prospect of one day realising what those close to the situation describe as his dream move to Liverpool Football Club, a club he has admired since childhood. The story is not about rejection, despite what certain mouthpiece reporters have attempted to portray, but about finding the appropriate legal and financial framework to facilitate an outcome that all parties have broadly been working towards from the very beginning.
Bruh.
Do you know how much joy in football I was losing with slot? I didn't read any Liverpool piece or article all season, skipped games, did see any inside Anfield. Nothing at all.
Now, slot gets sacked and I have read at least 50 pieces, and watched tons of videos.
