@RepoleStable Partner with the local community college to test every horse before each race, and open the vet books (or at least have a vet on camera to have an injury discussion of each horse before each card). Lack of transparency and perception that it is rigged is 95+% of the problem.
@dan_dpolletta@atTheTrack7 It’s the most pristine, beautiful, serene place to train. The horses are undeniably happy; in a lovely, quiet place to train. Often they over perform their talent level. Sometimes it makes them soft and they fold. You never know.
@dan_dpolletta@atTheTrack7 It won’t change. If you’ve been to Fair Hill to watch them train you’d understand why. Same with Mike Stidham horses. They often over perform because of the training and environment they live in. But it’s a bit sporadic and unpredictable how they run.
@ScottWalker When former Governor Scott Walker rejected $810 million in federal funding for a MKE-to-Madison high-speed rail line in 2010, the U.S. Department of Transportation redistributed the funds to other states, primarily California, Illinois and Florida. Send free $ to me next time Thx
@WiStateJournal When you start the thesis with the assumption that the world is flat, it leads you to some very interesting places….and you don’t even need to touch the Flutie Effect.
@JTCestkowski@MayorOfMadison What are the plans for leasing kiosk/outdoor restaurant space in the middle of the street? Like on N Clark St in Chicago. Is the goal for it to fail so we can drive busses down the road, or is this an actual effort to make it succeed by allowing kiosks and tables in the street?
@coachmosser@PamelaJeanPres1@WisBCA What is a bit odd is that if money is the objective, you sue the school district too. Not solely the coach in their individual capacity. Don’t think the Waunakee HS basketball coach is paid like a power 5 D1 men’s coach. But 🤷🏻♂️
@coachmosser@PamelaJeanPres1@WisBCA Coach abuse vs coach embezzlement whistleblowing. But semi-similar and the recent $45k settlement in IL is likely why suit was filed here. That case sued the school district and officials in Federal court. This was just against the coaches individually in WI State court.
@coachmosser@WisBCA Well if there wasn’t an agreement between the coaches as alleged to cut the kid as retaliation then it is a “suing because my child was cut” case. You probably would need to find an email or text to prove it. Or an independent witness’s testimony. Not sure that exists.
@coachmosser@WisBCA That parents of a player complained about embezzlement by former coach, which lead to the non-renewal/termination of the former coach by school district, who was replaced by his friend and former assistant, who allegedly cut the kid as retaliation for parents whistleblowing
@MammothBB@WisBCA If the goal is money you need to sue the parties that have the deep pockets. Suing two coaches in their individual capacity while omitting the school district is not that. And that was intentional. Former coach should have a pretty clear case to dismiss. Do they get to discovery?
@MammothBB@WisBCA Might be tough for attorney sanctions in view of recent developments in Illinois. Different facts of course. A bit interesting the Waunakee school district and AD were not named as parties. https://t.co/IBHVXqQjBf
@WiStateJournal Curious to know what % of the 40% took (almost certainly) lower paying jobs at private schools (which would be included in “leaving the profession”). Also curious why they don’t break down Figure 9 of the report the same way as Table 18.
@barryisthedon@Sniperrifle151 Everyone acting like Bucky won’t find the next Storr in the portal when process hasn’t even started yet. Did fine last year. The norm going forward may be the top scorer each season is obtained from the portal, as the UW leading scorer should be ready to play at the next level
@P_2_P_@ScottWegehaupt@Evan_Flood This is the game today. You have a salary cap and UW is a mid-market team. It will cost $2M to keep AJ. Worth it? Or do you get 4 Klesmit/Hepburn/Crowl level players instead? These college teams need Pro-level analytics hires to help with this.
@SeanCriderBB@tygorz I may be mistaken, but the SOV/ SOS numbers don’t factor divisions. To put it into NCAA terms, a win over 23-3 McNeese St would be worth a lot more than a win over 19-6 Marquette for the WIAA algorithm.
@WiStateJournal Now separately analyze the private/Catholic schools in Dane County that sued PHMDC and Parisi and won to open in fall 2020. You will see the good news that not every kid in the county was left behind.
@J_Michaels25@SOnfocus@NorbertDurst Verona’s non-conference was Waupun, McFarland, Homestead (who beat Arrowhead), Beaver Dam, Hortonville, and Monona Grove (tomorrow). You can’t play much tougher than that. Now they will have to play Arrowhead at Mukwonago instead of playing at Waunakee, which is a crowd impact
