पुणे शहरात विविध विकासकामांच्या नावाखाली मुंढवा बॉटनीकल गार्डनसह अनेक ठिकाणी मोठ्या प्रमाणात वृक्षतोड करण्याचा महापालिकेचा मनसुबा आहे. याविरोधात शहरातील पर्यावरण���्रेमी नागरीकांनी जागरुकता दाखवित आवाज उठवला आहे. आमचा विकासाला विरोध नाही पण पर्यावरणाचा बळी देऊन होणारा विकास आम्हाला मान्य नाही. पुणे महापालिकेने शहरातील वेगाने कमी होणाऱ्या हरीत आवरणाचा गांभीर्याने विचार करावा. या वृक्षतोडीत अनेक दुर्मिळ वृक्ष तोडले जाणार असून अनेक जीवांचा नैसर्गिक अधिवास देखील नष्ट होणार आहे. तरी महापालिकेने नागरीकांच्या भावनांची कदर करुन वृक्षतोडीचा विचार मागे घ्यावा.

The #monsoon has advanced into more parts of #Karnatka, #Telangana & #AndhraPradesh, the rest of #TamilNadu & some parts of #Bihar. Monsoon advancement will remain sluggish but can reach parts of #Chhattisgarh & perhaps #UttarPradesh over the next several days.

Agromet outlook for #Maharashtra and #Goa

Dry air intrusion will keep #Monsoon subdued over south #Konkan Goa as well as reduce #PreMonsoon over interior Maha until 13th.

Pre monsoon thunderstorms will pick up over #Vidarbha and #Marathwada by Sunday with scattered light-moderate (isolated heavy) rainfall, lightning and some small hail too.
FARMERS ADVISED TO ONLY PREP FIELD BUT DEFER SOWING UNTIL 20th JUNE, as TS rainfall will not be enough or widespread to recharge soil moisture.

A gradual revival of the Monsoon is expected from 14 Jun, when it'll resume advancement as a weak current, along north Konkan including #Mumbai, more parts of Madhya Maha.

As mentioned back in May too, Monsoon will be delayed over Marathwada and Vidarbha and is expected to advance into these regions only around 20th Jun.
