🔥 Roast My App #2: Paywall
The first event was brutal, honest and way more fun than we expected 😄
Now we're back! This time roasting mobile app paywalls live.
→ would users actually convert?
→ is the value clear enough?
→ is the paywall too early?
→ what kills conversion instantly?
No slides.
No fluff.
Just real feedback from people building apps.
📍 Istanbul
🗓 4 June
6 rejections from the @AppStore under Guideline 2.5.2. Same copy-pasted text every time.
Our app shows engagement content (text + images) created on our web dashboard. Apple thinks it's an "app preview tool."
No app reject appeal accepted. Video call pending. What would you do?
#iOSDev #AppStore
We’re trying something new in Istanbul.
We’re inviting mobile apps to get live, unfiltered feedback on their onboarding.
No fluff. Just real product critique.
We’ll pick a few apps and break down:
– what works
– what confuses users
– what kills conversion
If you’re building a mobile app, this will be 🔥
And if you’re brave enough… you can submit yours 😄
For the past year, I've been building @Setgreet because of a frustration I kept seeing:
Mobile teams want to improve their in-app experience. Better onboarding, smarter surveys, timely announcements. But every change means a ticket, a sprint, a build and an app store review.
By the time it ships, the moment has passed.
So I built a platform where you design flows visually, target the right users, and publish instantly. No code, no release. Native on iOS, Android, React Native and Flutter. No webviews.
Today it has a drag-and-drop flow builder, A/B testing, branching logic, real-time analytics and built-in localization. And it's now a complete product, ready for real workloads.
If you're on a mobile team, I'd love for you to take it for a spin. Free to start, and I'm genuinely interested in your feedback.
DMs are always open.
@dzhohola Not yet in terms of income, but hopefully soon! I’m working on my own product and the biggest gain so far has been in product progress. I no longer have to wait on anyone, which has really sped things up.
