@kikopangilinan Dear Sir, we're affected in many ways by decisions of bigger nations.
Defending our interests requires collaboration. We can't be a lone voice in the darkness w/o amplification from others.
We're not just Filipinos. We're humans in a global village.
America is breaking my heart. Yet, Kamala is still an epitome of greatness in women.
Will start an offshore company that will be purely led by progressive women. We need true spaces where we can be free.
Don't blame Muslims; or Jill stein; or Biden for dropping out; or for Kamala not going left enough. It's patriarchy. It's racism. And it's neoliberalism behind it all to pit us against each other until only the plutocrats thrive.
@nabunturanguy Guys, rural votes are counted first versus those with big populations which vote Democrat. If Harris carries MI, PA, GA and NC and the other swing states, she will win.
This is how it has always been in Electoral counting. You wont know the winner. Give it a day or two.
Dont know about you all, but the best band in the world has always been Earth, Wind & Fire.
No other band has done that kind of music than they have.
For only the second time in our 179-year history, the editors of Scientific American are endorsing a candidate for president. That person is @KamalaHarris. | Editorial https://t.co/dOsFW8BQCn
Ok pundits, please retire this idea that we donโt know the policy differences between Harris and Trump. They are crystal clear on every meaningful issue.
These speculations and backroom dealings help no one. If you have integrity, state it out in the open, show your faces and stop using the media to influence if Joe Biden is running or not. I'd like to see who those top Dems are.
Else, it's purely manufactured to induce panic.
@NeonNoodle22@yifever Asians are not prone to decision fatigue as Westerners. The more information we have, the more context we can consider.
Also ideograph based writing is richer than Anglo and Germanic languages. It considers whole swathes of readership rather than having a narrow audience.
I've just finished watching through eight episodes of "3 Body Problem." The original novel by Liu Cixin is depicted on a grand scale and in a unique style. With a slow-paced introduction, the ensemble drama spins a timeless story with intersecting characters. Abstract and surrealistic images, like that of "a blink in space" and "a countdown reflected on the retina,โ are very difficult to visualize.
Though this is an invasion from outer space, it is much more complicated than simply showing a large mother ship flying into a big city, attacking, and defending against an army, in a similar fashion to films like director Emmerichโs. However, the way this has been incorporated into a drama series with a worldwide perspective is brilliant. David Benioff and D. B. Weiss have done a marvelous job. By replacing the setting, era, and characters, extracting and adding elements, upping the tempo to make it suitable for a tv series, and rhythmically arranging cutbacks and cliffhangers, they have sublimated this work into an entertainment for everyone โ those who have read the original work and those who have not โ while retaining the essence of the original.
The show ends midway through the second book. I do not know if there will be a Season 2, but I am sure that more people will reread the original story after watching this, or they may be encouraged to read the rest of it. In any case, "The Three-Body Problem" is said to have been "read by all mankind.โ Those who have not yet read it will be able to experience it through this drama. Especially for those who are tired of Hollywood blockbusters, this crazy, novel science fiction is sure to be a blast.
In 2000, there were multiple breakthroughs in our understanding of solutions of the #3BodyProblem. One was the discovery of the figure 8 solution, where 3 equal sized stars chase each other around on a figure 8-shaped loop, discovered by Chenciner & Montgomery

To get the original draft for โThe 3 Body Problemโ past Chinese censors, author Liu Cixin put the Cultural Revolution scene later in the story.
Cixin felt this change โdiminishedโ the book, so the English translation begins with it (and the Netflix series follows suit).
He now recommends bilingual readers to read the English version of the novel.
Regardless of what i feel about the Royal family, i am concerned about the Princess' wellbeing.
We can care about Sussexes while we can care about the Princess of Wales at the same time.
Women have it bad at every level. It's an impossible standard.
Be human first.
Not one to get embroiled in conspiracy theories. Can people take a breath about the Princess of Wales?
Facts are:
- She has not been seen
- Her staff has no contact with her
- Only Kensington Palace, British media and people on social making announcements, not her personally
Her staff is usually in charge of her social media communications as well, but Kensington Palace media comms is the one taking lead.
The media is giving speculations, conflicting statements to give rise to quite a feeding frenzy.
