Doomed to failure. Socialism doesn’t work.
#LabourLies
Odious John Bercow has been readmitted to Labour.
He was suspended for allegations of bullying & harassment, including ‘shouting and mimicking’ his employees. Displaying ‘threatening conduct’ & ‘undermining behaviour’.
Labour doesn’t mind wrong’uns as long as they support them.
So let me get this right...
-REFORM CONVICTED CRIMINAL POSH GEORGE CANNOT BE FORGIVEN
-TORY CONVICTED CRIMINAL EX-EXTREMIST CANNOT BE FORGIVEN
-BUT LABOUR CONVICTED CRIMINAL LOUISE HAIGH MUST BE FORGIVEN AND CAN BECOME DEPUTY PM WITH NO BACKLASH WHATSOEVER.
OK, got it...
British Islamic scholar Abu Waleed says:
“No integration, no multiculturalism, no diversity and no tolerance. You have democracy, we have Sharia.”
He lives in council housing in London, doesn’t work, and claims benefits for himself, his wife, and their three disabled children - paid for by British taxpayers.
Perhaps the most disturbing element in the fantasy world of (ex)-Professor Jason Arday is not his proclivity to embellish his achievements (or lack thereof) in absurd ways that were easily exposed or Cambridge University’s facile complicity in his whole scam but that a reporter at Times Higher Education, who was looking into anomalies in Mr Arday’s dodgy CV, was subjected to a four-month police investigation for allegedly harassing him. The police need to be held to account for this abuse of police power to thwart a journalist from doing his job.
Dale Vince (you know the one with half a hair cut) donated £5.7 million to the Labour Party.
Then his energy companies received £123 million in taxpayer subsidies.
Where is the scrutiny?
Everything is bloody two tier in this country.
It now turns out that the Defence Secretary, Wes Streeting, received thousands of pounds worth of donations linked to a notorious crypto fraudster, Sam Bankman-Fried.
Will Sky News be harassing his relatives?
Will the BBC go to his constituency to speak to locals?
I doubt it.
Dear HM Government, (UK)
Firstly, congratulations. You’ve managed to discover a brand-new definition of transparency.
Apparently, the people who write the laws can have their criminal records kept secret from the very people expected to obey those laws. That’s an impressive piece of political gymnastics.
The rest of us apply for jobs, volunteer roles, taxi licences, security passes, and all manner of positions where background checks are considered perfectly reasonable. Yet when it comes to those entrusted with running the country… suddenly privacy becomes the highest constitutional principle.
Forgive us if we’re a little confused.
If a criminal record is irrelevant to holding public office, then explain why. If it is relevant, then surely voters deserve to know before they hand over power at the ballot box.
Democracy relies on informed consent. It’s difficult to make an informed choice if important information about elected representatives is deliberately withheld.
This isn’t about conducting witch hunts or judging people for minor mistakes made decades ago. It’s about accountability. Those who expect the public’s trust should be prepared to earn it through openness, not secrecy.
Unlike the government’s pursuit of Veterans 🤔
So, a simple question:
Why should MPs and ministers be held to a lower standard of transparency than many ordinary citizens applying for everyday jobs?
After all, “nothing to hide” seems to apply enthusiastically to taxpayers, but rather less enthusiastically to taxpayers’ employees.
Is transparency now something that’s only expected of the governed, while the governors are exempt?
Abit like the COVID vaccine 🤔 there is a pattern,
Perhaps we’ve misunderstood how equality works. We foolishly assumed the same standards applied to everyone. It would appear they do… right up until someone becomes an MP.
The British public doesn’t expect perfection.
We do, however, expect honesty, accountability, and the same standards from those who make our laws as they expect from those who obey them.
Yours, slightly bewildered,
A Taxpayer 🇬🇧
After Louise Haigh resigned in 2024 when her previous fraud conviction became public, you would think the lesson would be simple:
Don't appoint convicted criminals to government.
Instead, the rules have changed so ministers can keep past criminal convictions hidden from the public.
We elect these people to run the country. Voters have a right to know who they're putting in power.
This is a terrible decision.
Don’t call these invaders “refugees.” As an actual refugee, I fled from these Islamofascists, who destroyed the Middle East and North Africa with their sick imperialism and Islamic fascism, and are now destroying Europe.
Spain should be excluded from the Schengen area ASAP.
