@tylerdinkins_ @DrKatMansfield Yes! It is extremely important that student see themselves represented in the curriculum. When they are not, they feel invisible and uncared for. This class should absolutely be a graduation requirement. But most of all, it should be throughout all of the k-12 curriculum.

@tylerdinkins_ @DrKatMansfield I loved this article! It really is so important for students to be able to “see” themselves in their role models. We absolutely need more diversity in the teaching profession. In a faculty of over 50, we only have two teachers of color at my school. TWO.
