– Bans exports

How does a child buy an iPhone or get a phone contract when you ah e to be 18 to sign a contract? You can’t signup with an ISP if you are under 18. An adult provided those under 18s with a phone & access to the internet. It should be the parents responsibility to police usage.

Remove the influx of new people to the labour market and wages will rise, remove the demand for housing & house prices/rents will fall and remove the unfunded demand on services & they will be less stressed. Less demand for food, utilities etc prices go down as will emissions.

Also worth pointing out she reduced the base rate of income tax in every single budget as well as increased the personal allowance above inflation. Contrast Gordon Brown who double the tax rate of the lowest paid.

There is also a quite a bit of evidence that suggests higher tax rates don’t bring in more revenue. Not much point having an 83% tax rate if those who it is meant to his just leave. Even that plum Osbourne showed a lower Corp tax rate brought in more revenue.

She inherited a country bailed out by the IMF, 24% inflation, 14% interest rates, 33% base rate of income tax & an 83% top rate which saw a wealth exodus. Paying back debt is a term of a bailout. If you borrowing money you should pay it back, unless you’re a socialist of course.

If you are referring to mining then you should maybe read up on Harold Wilson. He closed more pits in one term than she did in her entire reign. He also ended the use of coal on the rail network costing the NCB its largest customer. Far more damaging to mining.

Incidentally and ironically, she used the revenues also to fund unemployment benefits for the three million people whose lives she destroyed by removing the industries that kept towns alive. Instead of investing in them.
Our lives today are a result of this devastation.
