@ChrisSauerLIU Give yourself an uppercut too. At least you’ve understood the enormity of your mistake here. Well done formulating a suitable reprimand for yourself. 👍
Progression is the name of the game.
Patience to stick to a long term plan is difficult, especially for juniors. Alex Smith showed at the National Super sprint champs that he’s doing it well and the positives were significant.
Well done mate.
Sometimes you just have to forget about the data and roll the dice.
Excited to see how Jacob McAuliffe is progressing and racing as a bottom age junior.
Doing a great job of learning to race just for the pure joy with no fear of failure.
Well done mate.
Adaptability is a key focus point for developing athletes and it’s driven by consistent exposure to various environments. This weekends Oceania junior triathlon champs became a Duathlon. Certainly suits some more than others but all must adapt. Congrats Paige on a silver medal.
It’s been said before. It’s worth saying again.
Chase progress, not fatigue. You aren’t limited by how hard you can work, you’re limited by how you can recover.
It's a funny attitude that amateur athletes are not "worthy" of the same training control methods used for the elite.
Like if you're not racing for $, you deserve shitty training prescription? 🤔
Control of training stress is *at least as* important for you!
Throw back to this years @tourdownunder festival of cycling when Tempo elite cyclist Libby Young spent the best part of 30km on a solo break … a firm reminder it’s worth rolling the dice in races to learn valuable lessons
