Last month, we shared our progress on developing compressed streaming of animated Gaussian Splatting with @80Level (https://t.co/VDQcodz6PF). Today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve completed our work on the 4D codec, bringing us closer to real-time volumetric video streaming for everyone.
The setup requirements also depend on the scene (amount of overlap, etc.). If you have a particular use case in mind, you might experiment with taking photos first and then submitting them to existing static Gaussian Splatting services for reconstruction. The minimum number of shots/angles required to produce an adequate result would define the current camera requirements for dynamic capture with current technology.

@senas311 Not at this time. Currently we work with 40 camera setup, but plan to drastically reduce the setup requirements by introducing inpainting for the missing angles.
