@CatholicAwesome For our first few kids my wife never went into labor naturally. She would end up with a scheduled induction and always dreaded it.
With our 4th, my wife started bouncing on a yoga ball as the due date neared. That got the baby moving and she hasn't had to induce since.
That clip is taken totally out of context and this post is misogynistic. I'm surprised by this since this an account that built itself on dispelling misinformation about Pope Francis. Now you are quick to post some clickbait.
They were not sexualizing him. Someone can be handsome or beautiful without sexualizing them. If you listen to the entire clip it is about masculinity and how some of the most masculine people they know are priests.
I understand why you think they are straw man arguments. You are a servant of Christ and a good dude. But there are men who still expect things during those times and women who feel compelled to comply.
That is great you are discerning about another child. You might listen to that podcast. It talks about my wife's and my journey of being open to life.
@jason_howerton Neither do I. This is referring to intermittent periods of abstinence. If you aren't ready for more children, or your spouse is ill or recovering from childbirth what would you do?
@sandiegotlmgoer Chrissy is setting a great example. Many women connect with her content. She gets messages all the time from women who are becoming open to life and returning to the church. She isn't exploiting our family. And I think I would know. I'm very proud of her.
I think you missed the point. This is not telling women to withhold sex from their husbands. Lila's post was particularly focused on priests and how they make a sacrifice for our Lord. The podcast discusses how men can go without sex when their wife is unable to be intimate, specifically during postpartum.
Sex is supposed to be unifying. It is not about one person's pleasure or "needs". God forbid something happens to my wife, I know I can go without sex. I think you could too.
Self-custody has come a long way. Back in 2013, it was a complex process to take control of your own keys. π
Even today many people who enter the space are not sure where to start. That is why Edge aims to make self-custody simple.
