BREAKING: Rogers is closing Sportsnet 650 in Vancouver *AND* Sportsnet 960 in Calgary, among six total radio station closures.

Rogers will still broadcast Canucks games for radio on one of its other properties, but will stop producing Flames games on radio.

CFAC 960 AM has been on the air for more than a century. It is beyond ugly for Rogers to pull the plug on it in this fashion and abandon one of the biggest sports markets in the country.
