If we abstract this out much further, I'm curious, if you could wave a magic wand and every nation had a unique culture and people or every nation had the same culture and people, which would you choose?

Would you agree that regardless of the underlying motives of each faction it's clear that the policies of the right will lead to more global human diversity and the policies of the left will lead to less?

@captive_dreamer Ossoff is much smarter and more talented than Walz. His problem is he will have a hard time making it to the general but if he did he would be a very competitive candidate.

I trade for a living because it pays better than my previous career did and has other benefits like allowing me to spend more time with my family, but the fact that this is true probably is not optimal for society.

I do think it's a fairly small percentage of people that can speculate successfully for an extended period of time, so it's probably not much of a risk to productive labor, but the cohort that is good at this could likely be better utilized by society.

On the other hand, maybe we're entering a period of reduced need for human labor and increasingly more jobs will look like mine idk

Jerusalem herself does not come across as particularly bright imo but I'm rooting for her because in my experience many on the left, including very smart people, are simply never exposed to ideas that contradict their priors. Kelsey deserves much praise

This is such a bizarre argument. To follow your logic you have to start with the assumption that the nation owes nothing to its people. America has an obligation to Americans regardless of their cognitive ability. If a foreigner would like to join our society we must ask how they will benefit our people. This isn't complicated and you're not stupid so I'm not sure what this game is you're playing.

A lot of Republicans are saying this list is right wing, but last I checked, the Republican Party isn't the party of competence-focused institutionalism, it's the party of corruption, authoritarianism, apathy to truth, and smashing the institutions.
