Jews throughout the world tonight mark the holiday of Passover, remembering and sharing the story of the Jewish people’s Exodus from Egypt. Tradition teaches that the story is told not in the past tense, but as if all who are at the table today were slaves and now are free.

To all whom are observing the commandment of telling the Passover story, I wish a very happy and meaningful holiday. For everyone I pray that we may soon see a time that none are enslaved and each is free.

Happy Valentine's Day, folks! This year’s Valentines for Vets campaign was a great success. We collected more than 1,000 heartfelt cards from our community—including students, townships, libraries, and kind individuals who wanted to share their gratitude.

So happy I could personally deliver these valentines to veterans at Lovell Federal Health Care Center, joined by Dr. Buckley, Director of Lovell, and my friend Kenny List.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped us show our veterans that their service and sacrifices are never forgotten.
