@SinOjOsTransprt@malik_alee66879 I do agree that servers should be tipped -- I tip a minimum of 20% even when the service is poor and much more if the service is good. I don't like employers telling me what to tip though when they benefit from my tips (tip credit to them).
@SinOjOsTransprt@malik_alee66879 The low wage is not set by the government, it's the minimum that the employer must pay per hour and then the employer is given a "tip credit" with the government assuming the server make enough in tips to meet the minimum wage requirement. Employers can pay a higher base wage
@SOMAMadman@Anna_Kat_73@brivael That's also why in countries with government funded universal health care, it often takes much longer to receive care, like a knee replacement, that in the US we would consider fairly routine care.
@SOMAMadman@Anna_Kat_73@brivael Obviously the government doesn't provide the actual care but since they are the payer, they do have the input in to what's paid, how much is paid, what services are allowed, etc.
@SOMAMadman@SchmolsonOlson@brivael Different minority groups experience distinct patterns of health issues, disease prevalence, and medical outcomes so that does affect the healthcare outcomes and costs. It has nothing to do with "racist" thinking. It's just the facts.
@SOMAMadman@Anna_Kat_73@brivael As a healthcare provider, it's laughable to think that the government running healthcare would make it more efficient. We do spend more than other countries but some of that is the demands from patients for testing, procedures, etc that they don't need and fear of litigation.
@SOMAMadman@SchmolsonOlson@brivael The Scandinavian countries are also much smaller in population and much less diverse (about 75 to 80% white). What may work in their countries does not necessarily work in a much larger and more diverse population like the US.
@IamANideaX@YoitsRosie You should never base your assessments of groups of people on posts from X because you can't even be sure who's posting. The real Fever fans may have player preferences but we love our whole team.
@IamANideaX@YoitsRosie Obviously you've never been to an Indiana Fever game so I'm not sure where you are getting your info. At the majority of games in the past few months, the Fever fans were yelling MVP for Kelsey (a black player) not Caitlin. Not sure how you can label those Fever fans racist.
@quitelikean808@KinnickNorth23 That's absurd. The arena was cheering MVP for Kelsey in game 2 of the playoffs. I'm assuming you have never attended a game at Gainbridge.
@stephan8395972@hovah76 In the 1st half, CC came in when the USA was down 11 to 16 and left when we were up 25 to 21. That's a +9 swing.
In the 2nd half, she came in when we were up 46 to 45 and left when we were up 68 to 60. That's a +7 swing.
We do better when she's on the floor statistically .
@LSnegQ@kayleighmcenany Also, just because you viewed that facts and circumstances of the Lindsay Clancy case one way doesn't mean you are correct. Reasonable people can view them differently in these types of cases.
@LSnegQ@kayleighmcenany The facts and circumstances are somewhat similar. The alleged murderer of the 2 year old was reportedly in a group chat just hours before the murder discussing the Lindsay Clancy case and had an infant in the home. Dad was away from the home.
@JennSecor@kayleighmcenany Could very well be related when the local news is reporting that the alleged murderer was on a group chat discussing the Lindsay Clancy case just hours before the murder and there was an infant (unhurt) in the home.
@BrookeeSNelson@kayleighmcenany Except for the fact that according to local news report, she was in a group chat discussing the Lindsay Clancy trial a few hours before murdering her child and apparently there was an infant at home.
@RealCandaceO@BlakeSNeff@AndrewKolvet It is still about privacy. Privacy allows you to release what info you wish to release and let the public know and keep private other information. It's honestly none of your business whether Charlie was cremated or not. You aren't family and you've been unkind to his wife.
