we have been helping folks migrate off github actions all day.
the entire 7 hours of this outage, depot ci jobs haven't been impacted, it's our own engine, own plumbing, and much less dependence on github.
drop us a line at [email protected] and we'll help you migrate.
Just migrated 55 repositories to @biomejs in the matter of 2 hours 🤩 CI run time: ~4 seconds. Used custom script to do most of the changes. ~96250 lines removed. Feels goooooood 🤤
Wow. @biomejs is 🤯 fast. Converting over a project that can have individual files take up to 20s to save in VS Code (due to ESLint/Prettier formatting)... it takes 17ms to do the *entire* project now.
You think you’ve got it bad, imagine working in engineering at X (formerly Twitter) and having to do giant find/replace of “twitter” to “x” across your codebase knowing you’ll never be able to change company names again
Couldn't agree more. If I can't find an aesthetically pleasing way of doing it, I'd usually rather not. The intrinsic motivation derived from a beautiful paragraph of prose or method of code is what still propels me.
Man who kept his boat besides his house was ordered from the city to put up a fence to hide the boat from view. So he built the fence and hired someone to paint it.

To the question around whether Lando would’ve won without the safety car is absolutely 10/10 🤣
He could’ve easily said something to defend the fact he should’ve been P1 but instead let Lando’s win shine through 👏
So long to our friend, our king, Bernard Hill.
We will never forget you.

My view:
Council’s should not borrow for operating costs like staff salaries, electricity bills or bus services.
Council’s should borrow for new infrastructure, like roads, busways, pipes, pump stations and community buildings.
Same goes for any council owned water provider.
