Justice Dipankar Datta should withdraw & apologize for his anti-democratic and anti-Constitution remarks against woman MP that she should "take bullets in chest" like freedom fighters. Courts exist to ensure life & dignity. Not to embolden a mob, already enabled by State failure
Hague is not even enough for Netanyahu! Israeli had bombed a tent city of displaced Palestinians in southern Gaza and killed 500 of them in one strike.
Modi is scared of slogans, taunts, chants and abuses and here the SC is saying that physical violence against politicians is something to be trifled with. Slow clap.
So does this Supreme Court judge want @MahuaMoitra to take bullets? What kind of motormouth persons have we appointed as judges? Is this the judicial temperament we expect of constitutional court judges? This is why we need to fix judicial accountability.
The statement is condemnation worthy. Especially when you know about the dire state of affairs in Bengal. If tomorrow anything happens to Ms. Moitra, this bench led by Justice Dipankar Datta will be responsible. He should be ashamed of his conduct. In any functional democracy, such judges would’ve been compelled to resign or be impeached!
HANDS OFF our Jantar Mantar!
Before trying to take away our protest site, tell us if you will designate the India Gate where we can exercise our fundamental right to peacefully protest. You took away the India Gate. We will not tolerate taking away of OUR Jantar Mantar too!
Meet Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit, the VC of JNU, a woman with a dented career record, yet appointed to lead & destroy India's 2nd best University.
Between 2001-2007 she was the Director of the Int. Students Centre (ISC), Pune Uni.
Then in a case of admission of 1800 students, 4 member committee report on 6/08/2008 found that under her tenure there was a “possibility of financial misappropriation".
She was charge sheeted.
The disciplinary inquiry committee, headed by retired Justice JA Patil, he found her guilty of “misconduct” and “moral turpitude.”
As punishment, seven of her salary increments were permanently withheld.
Imagine it. Even with such a dented career record, she was appointed the VC of India’s second ranked University - JNU in 2022. Just imagine the scale at which they are playing with the future of India's youth.
And her appointment to JNU came after her application to become NEHU’s Vice Chancellor, was rejected as her vigilance status was flagged.
JNU and NEHU are both central universities - she was rejected by one, yet appointed to the other.
Since becoming the JNU VC she has repeatedly faced allegations of corruption in faculty recruitment and rigged examinations at the varsity.
And today @reporters_co report unearthed the ineligible recruitments of faculties during her tenure.
You maybe a BJP or CONGRESS or AAP or SP supporter. I may be anything. But none of us wants our children to end up in a broken and corrupt institution. Do you agree?
Then why not demand her resignation now? Why not?
She never had the moral credibility to occupy this chair. Let her go now, for the sake of our children, and for the future of India.
⦿ If RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat ji has any sincerity towards Gen Z, he should ask Amit Shah to resign or ask the Home Minister to come to Parliament and apologise to the students.
⦿ Our position is very clear: wherever students are holding genuine protests over genuine issues, we will stand with them.
⦿ We will vehemently oppose the FCRA Bill. The government cannot bulldoze such a bill when the House is not functioning properly. They cannot pass such an important bill, which is going to affect lakhs of people, NGOs, and minority communities. We will not allow them to pass it.
: Congress General Secretary (Org.) Shri @kcvenugopalmp
Amit Shah's decision to unleash violence on students has turned him into a ghost in Parliament — we're told he comes, yet he’s nowhere to be seen.
For perhaps the first time, even Modi seems reluctant to put his political sidekick on display.
The BJP thinks it can simply wait out this session.
It is mistaken.
20 July has made Amit Shah a permanent political liability - and his deeds will keep coming back to haunt them.
@barandbench@MahuaMoitra Oh no these same courts will run to Narendra Modi’s rescue any day. If Amit Shah would have approached these judicial servants, they would have gone in hiding to protect themselves.
Have we forgotten the hero cop @sanjivbhatt who defied Modi ? His daughter @aakashibhatt & family certainly haven't as they struggle and fight against the Goliath. A country which idolizes Reel Singam cops but forget Real brave policemen with spine.
RSS-BJP goons throw ink at me and around 20 other women in Ranchi, Jharkhand!
For them ink is a tool to try to shame others, we will write the future with ink!
The whole thing is so transparent. The Bombay HC asked for an affidavit from the Centre and the SC obliged by staying the HC hearing. cc @internetfreedom
This lady was made the Chairperson of the Delhi Women’s Commission by Kejriwal. She used to raise issues of violation of women’s rights. In a fortnight which saw women protestors being beaten, girls being bullied and doxed and Brijmohan being acquitted how sad that she has to zero in on safe issues like “paneer”!
