Okay, that's it. I'm pinning this. I'm being drawn ever closer to the proposition that a majority of X's 611 million (alleged) users are in fact AI masquerades, fake-name trolls and Putinbots.
There's no "peace" with Russia that ordinary Ukrainians will ever be able to accept so long as these crimes go unpunished. Putin has killed 50 times as many Ukrainians as Bin Laden killed Americans.
An utterly horrific Russian attack on the settlement of Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia region. Since this morning, the settlement has been hit several times by aerial bombs. The strikes targeted a school used for humanitarian purposes – people were receiving humanitarian aid there. After the first aerial bomb strike, there was a double-tap strike with nine more bombs, specifically targeting the shelter where people were taking cover. Tragically, 18 people have already been reported killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Five people have been injured. A rescue operation is underway at the site, and the search for people continues. It is extremely difficult. Military forces, first responders, and special services are involved.
The Russians could not have been unaware that every week, local residents who had remained in Komyshuvakha received humanitarian aid at that very location. And this is further proof that Russia wants no de-escalation and no real justice. After the humanitarian operation in Oleshky, there was a moment when the next steps could have shown that progress toward peace was possible. With these killings, Russia is sending an entirely opposite signal: Russia is counting on more killings. There must be a response to this – a response from the world. A strong and tough response. A response to Russia. And support for Ukraine. We must protect lives. Thank you to everyone who is helping!
At the Websters in Vancouver, Iran International journalist @NegarMojtahedi dedicated her Bill Good Award to “the people of Iran,” who continue to be imprisoned or killed by the Islamic Republic Regime for simply fighting for their freedom and seeking the truth.
We in the west often take for granted our ability to hold those in power accountable. Negar’s words tonight, and her work, are a sobering reminder that elsewhere in the world, journalists and civilians who embark on that quest often pay the ultimate price.
#freeiran 🇮🇷
Russians published a video of a glide bomb strike on a school in Komyshuvakha, where civilians were receiving humanitarian aid.
The death toll has now risen to 33, with 5 injured and 58 others still missing. Terrorist bastards.
@BohuslavskaKate I am so angry, pro Russian idiots are filling X full of the 14 year old kid allegedly held in captivity, but they're not talking about this horrendous war crime of the bombed aid centre....
And the 14 year old story was soon proved to be staged, they're not telling us that too
It’s Holocaust education month in 🇨🇦…so naturally:
“Several terrorists have been teased as potential speakers a November conference in Toronto organized by a U.S.-designated terrorist organization…(that) aims to advance “revolutionary” efforts in the wake of the October 7 Hamas attacks.” @StarrReporting in @HonestReporting
Speakers referred to as “liberated Palestinian prisoners”, sponsored by terror-designated Masar Badil & Samidoun, will be speaking about topics that should concern every person that cherishes “the true North strong & free”. https://t.co/6XkYbqS5Hg
Also…among systematically hijacked facts & law including the Holocaust itself - November 29 on which in 1947, the UN voted in favour of the Partition Plan of British mandate Palestine (that the Arabs refused to accept, waging war instead) - has been hijacked too.
If you (still) think this is (just) about 🇮🇱…think again.
A classic death cult. An ancient phenomenon.
There's a word, and we're stuck with it because it has no adequate substitute in the lexicon of diplomacy or the tetminologies of political science.
Evil.

Roleplaying Molotov-Ribbentrop with Putin while his Shahed drones slaughter Ukrainian civilians in their streets, their schools and their beds.
Never forgive. Never forget.
The United States will mediate working-level negotiations between Ukraine and Russia on November 10–11 in Abu Dhabi, advancing President Trump’s mission to end the war. Discussions will focus on post-war security arrangements, de-escalation, humanitarian efforts, and next steps toward peace.
Additionally, American negotiators will meet this week in Brussels with representatives from France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the EU, and NATO to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine, Europe’s post-war security architecture, and economic opportunities to support Ukraine’s reconstruction.
We look forward to building on the progress made in Kyiv, Oslo, and St. Petersburg toward a comprehensive, durable peace agreement that delivers lasting security for generations to come.
Spooked by the effect of his tariff wars on the midterms, Trump has everything to lose from continued Canada-US dyspepsia. Carney, hilariously, has everything to gain.
.@POTUS on Canada: "They're going to build the Keystone pipeline. They're going to pay for it; they're going to pay for all of it. We're going to give them the route and it has largely been determined."
Some background on Keystone/KXL from my August 25 post on this:
Following the Biden administration's cancellation of Keystone XL in 2021, its proponent TC Energy shelved the project after it & the Alberta government had invested billions, including in pipeline infrastructure already constructed & preserved in Canada.
Less than three years later, TC Energy spun off its liquids-pipelines business (including the Keystone XL assets) into a new entity (Calgary-based 'South Bow').
South Bow has since (quietly) developed 'Prairie Connector', a new project that would use ~100 miles of preserved Keystone XL-related pipeline & two pump stations in Canada. Its U.S. component, 'Liberty Bridge', is being jointly developed with an American entity (Bridger Pipeline) along a different U.S. route.
South Bow recently secured 20-year commitments for 465,000/bpd & is targeting a mid-2027 final investment decision. And Bridger has already received a Presidential Permit (signed by Trump) relating to its proposed use of the former Keystone XL facilities at the Alberta-Montana border on April 30th of this year.
The industry has, therefore, moved beyond Keystone XL independent of any Canadian or American political involvement. The claim by the NYTs that the Carney government opposes reviving a project that has been superseded by a new, commercially supported oil pipeline requires explanation.
