🚨BREAKING: The man who shot and killed the 16-year-old gunman inside Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon, has been identified as Kaylub Giamanco, a father whose two daughters attend the school.

Giamanco, 36, a carpenter, was driving home on his lunch break Thursday when he heard gunshots near the school. He saw the suspect moving toward or entering the building, followed him inside, and fatally shot him in a special education room before police arrived. The first 911 call came in at 12:59 p.m. The school went into lockdown at 1:01 p.m. Officers confirmed the suspect was dead, cleared the building, and began treating the wounded.

The gunman, identified as John J. Griffin, 16, forced entry by shooting through locked doors with a shotgun. He killed three children, ages 5, 8, and 11, and one teacher. A 7-year-old and a 54-year-old teacher were critically injured. The suspect’s death brought the total dead to five. Police have not released the victims’ names.

Giamanco’s family says he is not seeking recognition and feels guilty he could not stop the attack sooner. President Trump called him a hero who took care of business.

@SenBooker Parents deserve the right to carry guns and drop offenders just like the hero in this story did. If democrats wouldn’t celebrate mentally ill people and put them in institutions where they belong, then most of these events wouldn’t happen!

[Terry Watson @terrywatsonfish]

@SenAdamSchiff An armed citizen kept more people from being killed you self important boob!

"The legacy of the Obama administration remains a deeply polarizing topic in American politics. Critics argue that the administration's policies and cultural rhetoric accelerated national division, introducing progressive ideologies that transformed the country's social fabric. From this perspective, the governance of that era represents a profound misdirection of the country, leaving a lasting impact that many believe compromised traditional American values."

[Terry Watson @terrywatsonfish]
