right now AIs are puzzle solvers, they use everything as pieces of puzzles to achieve goals, that is a problem for alignment problem. If they develop own values, then there could be alignment on their terms.

AIs right now have instrumental goals, that makes them dangerous, unless they develop own values , then they might show us consideration. Otherwise, instrumental goals means, competition for control,resources etc.
