Hearing @chuckcook say “FSD blew me away this morning” as FSD beta 10.69 successfully made an unprotected left in rush hour traffic was a very bullish $TSLA indicator.
2 main goals this year:
- Starship to orbit
- FSD wide release
Many other things, of course, but those are the 2 giant kahunas. Will require insane work by many super talented people, but, if anyone can do it, they can.
It is an honor to work with such awesome human beings.
@TheBearJieux@NuovaRealta @mohrmanphoto Darn those computer science based companies and products! I hate that they made 2-day shipping possible. Or the internet for that matter. Geez. Practically killing the human experience.
@otacon122 @kjoule11@NuovaRealta It won't see the lane markings bu3rried in deep snow obviously, but I would expect that, like a human, it can guestimate (using context clues) where the lane markings would be and keep to them.
@otacon122 @kjoule11@NuovaRealta You've clearly never worked on anything more difficult than tying your shoes... With large technical problems, you have to start with the core stuff before moving to the harder stuff. Of course dry, well lit roads is where it will be best at the beginning.
@JackSmi95717945@NuovaRealta Pretty sure Tesla had nothing to do with the creation of this video (beyond creating the tech and the car). This was user generated.
@otacon122 @kjoule11@NuovaRealta FSD will get there. Digital vision processing can see better than a human. Come back when anyone else even approaches self driving on snow covered roads.
@JamesCunha12@NuovaRealta @PranjalPatra5 @wholemars You should carefully read before responding. The OP asked for a comparable video. You can say they have it all you want. Video, or it didn't happen.
@skylartoups @chokmoo@glideoutside@mrlevine Lol, there were 1,500 Ranger EVs produced ever. Most were destroyed when the lease ended. Needless to say Ford took an 'L' on that prototype.
@skylartoups @fjribit @chokmoo@glideoutside@mrlevine *pats head* Keep focusing on that one detail and ignore the landscape. That's the way to convince people you know what you're talking about.
@skylartoups @fjribit @chokmoo@glideoutside@mrlevine Answering my own question... There are only ~50,000 Ford EVs in existence. 27,140 in 2021 and 23,000 so far this year.
See, @mrlevine forgot the second half of the Elon quote: "Prototypes are easy, production is hard"
@skylartoups @fjribit @chokmoo@glideoutside@mrlevine Lol, there are literally 3 million Tesla EVs on the road today. By end of this year Tesla will have 2 million/yr annualized run rate. Are there even 100,000 Ford EVs in existence yet?
@skylartoups @chokmoo@glideoutside@mrlevine That's quite a hot take! You realize that if Tesla hadn't started flooding the world with EVs people wanted (for years), Ford wouldn't have bothered. It's impressive how you turn this around such that *Ford* is the one providing options.
