BREAKING: Tesla Model Y becomes Switzerland’s best-selling car in June 2026. 🇨🇭
• Model Y led the entire Swiss auto market
• Sales more than doubled year over year
• Tesla brand registrations jumped 78.6%
• Tesla captured 6.3% of the total market
The @Tesla Cybercab has a unique wheel setup, especially for a Front-Wheel Drive vehicle.
Up front, there are 215/60/18 tires on 18” steel wheels. On the rear, there are 21” wheels with 225/60/21 tires.
I’m looking forward to learning about this setup and the reasoning behind it. There’s no doubt smaller wheels up front will help with maneuverability, while rear wheels with a thicker sidewall will help with ride comfort.
Very interesting. Also it makes the car looks pretty cool.
The @Tesla Cybercab uses lightweight Reaction Injection Molding (RIM) body panels which enables:
• Manufacturing cycle times go from hours using a traditional paint shop, to minutes since the color is injected during the molding process.
• Supply chain and manufacturing Green House Gas emissions are cut by 35% for those parts.
• 100% elimination of volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions from painting.
Usually a conventional car’s body panels are stamped, painted, and processed through a paint shop (see video). Cybercab’s manufacturing process doesn’t need any of that.
The material science that’s going on at Tesla is simply incredible.
Looks like Tesla is Robotaxi service testing in New Orleans, Louisiana. A fleet of Model Ys with rear camera washers, side camera washers and Texas manufacturer license plates have been spotted in the city.
