That was the graduation picture of the 10th Cohort of Institute for Excellence in Healthcare and Leadership(IfEHL)

One week we were locked in Jos.
Doctors across different ranks and our perspectives were sharpened and redefined.
It was a week I genuinely didn't want to end. Leaving Jos was hurtful. I had heard things for a lifetime and met people I thoroughly loved and wholly want to be with completely

It genuinely represents some of the best people I know in medicine. For medics in Nigeria, if you look well, you'll see some of the best people from your schools. UCTH, JUTH, ABUTH, BUTH, UITH , NDUTH, UATH...all blazing young professionals. My very own tribe

I chose it because the whole of that week represents how I want my life, my perspective about life, time, commitment to patient care, my followership of Jesus and my medical practice including family life, interpersonal relationships and leadership to be fashioned, same with my pinned tweet

Every time I open, I remember this is where I should practice and function from. I remember that's the wholeness I should be to get to my pinned tweet

There are a number of lamentations on medtwitter and most, I see things differently. The reasons are simple. I was in Jos, I spent close and long time with Professor Isichie, Professor Ada, Professor Chima and many others. I genuinely see things really differently

First Nigerian to carry out 10 personal community projects in the shortest possible time to over 2000 people in North West Nigeria including fixing up a primary health care clinic, painstakingly teaching over 500 girls BLS in Female Senior Secondary Schools and donating fully equipped first aid boxes while leading community service group in 11 medical interventions and outreaches including responding to 2025 meningitis outbreak and heat wave in the North West

Did these while running 4 hospitals, preparing for exams, pursuing a postgraduate course in a new territory and serving as NCCF executive

I Saw Dr. Iggy’s announcement video this morning, someone in the top 0.1%, an Orthopaedic surgeon with a subspecialty in Spine, stepping away from being a Consultant just six months in after 15 years of training.
He’s choosing instead to focus fully on content creation and helping medical students find their path.

At first, I didn’t even know how to feel about it.
But the truth is, decisions like that weigh most on the person making them, and he seems completely at peace with his choice.

Still, it’s crazy to see. Even at that level, people can decide to take a completely different path.

"Doctor" has always been associated with Medical Doctors from time immemorial. Others copied it from them. To them it's not an academic title it's a professional one. PhD is an academic title. PharmD doesn't have the academic rigour needed for a Doctoral degree by any standard.

Do you realize how damaging that is? Toothpicks are not made for proper oral care, they can injure your gums, cause gum recession, gum injury, create spaces between your teeth, and even increase your risk of cavities and gum disease.

You’re literally doing more hãrm than good every single time you use them.

What you should be using is dental floss. That’s the standard. That’s what actually cleans between your teeth safely and effectively, not those sticks you keep putting in your mouth like it’s normal.

Ehis, you need to change this habit. Urgently and while you’re at it.

But make sure you’re brushing your teeth twice daily with a fluoride toothpaste.

It’s high time you all stopped calling these guys “Influencers” they are big account YES! because they have many followers but they are never “influencers” this is not twitter of 2013 twitter, this is X.

I like the fact that this app is changing, this is not all those Alabi, Palimerin era of twitter, I like as everyone now have their personal opinion in politics, economics and sexual harassment and other related matters , I’m happy what this app is today, back then in 2013 the politicians used this so called influencer a lot, that Pamilerin, Omojuwa, Alabi are where they are today is because of the relevance old twitter users gave them and they used it to manipulate the masses. I don’t think you can do that anymore, imagine telling one big account to influence my political choices on X, you must be a joke.
