@mppockrus This is interesting -- @nmdalea pointed out that her book was about family strife that had been resolved, and you felt you needed to resolve it by writing. I feel like I resolved these issues inside and outside of the work. There was still so much work to do but I was over it.

Currently in that classic American position where I don’t have health insurance (because I quit everything in order to write my book) and then had an emergency complicated appendectomy and got a hospital bill for $30k. I think 🤞 it’ll be ok? I think?

Yes, fix all the gun laws, but also: free healthcare, free school lunch, after school programs outside of sports, make teaching a job people want, reward empathy and care in work and social environments. Rugged individualism has raised population of hungry, angry men - with guns.
