What a fantastic morning with Sigmund Brouwer! We had a great discussion about stories and how our most important tool is the alphabet! Students are so excited to start our new unit of Story Writing!! #literacy
Family Literacy Day was a hit! We started off with these two books, families had to guess what we were doing. We made a Colony cook book for each family and guest to use!
Our new WIG (wildly important goal) has started. 100% of students will read for at least 60 minutes a week! We have almost earned it for Week 1! #literacy
A great week back! This week, we talked about our Leader in Me Power Words and created a word for the year, and how we can use these words throughout the year to achieve our goals! @LRSD_68
An awesome week of learning. Grade 7s and 8s went to the pond on the colony to find consumers, producers and decomposers. Then, we put together out ecosystems and determined what kind of invertebrates were living. They discovered side-swimmers, water spiders and leeches!
A big thank you to PEAKS for coming to visit us today. Our students had a great day learning about Mรฉtis history and the blending of cultures all around us. We also had some outdoor learning which involved frisbees and step dynamics! @LRSD_68#placebased
