@mclovenxoxo Like all the hate that post got I think betrays how central this idea of being on time is to a colonial capitalist ethic . And why choosing lateness in some ways I think can be radical
@CYBERSIX000@Glanhir@CacheThatCheque Well I guess the population is heavily skewed due to how populated Tokyo is, but even then step outside the 23 special wards and a surprising amount of people drive. For the other cities that I listed, not even close to the majority of those who live there use public transit
@CYBERSIX000@Glanhir@CacheThatCheque Even in my area, which is 15 minutes away from the center of a big city, everyone takes out their car to go to the supermarket less than a kilometer away. Sure there’s a station nearby, but unless you live within a 10 minute walk from it, well, time to bring out the automobile
@CYBERSIX000@Glanhir@CacheThatCheque This literally isn’t true lol. Unless you live in Tokyo, Osaka, or the central districts of smaller cities like Nagoya, Fukuoka etc. most people get around by car.
Students see no issue using AI to complete their assignment because they have been conditioned to treat schooling as a means to a capitalist end and not a tool for acquiring knowledge. The proliferation of AI is just making this very explicit for those who didn’t already know.
It could also because Americans by and large have the best lives of any empire in human history and we have no actual reason to revolt? That's why everyone in the entire world wants to move here and will do it illegally if they cannot do it legally
Elon Musk called Hitler a socialist then Grok correctly debunks him by pointing out Hitler rejected Marxism and ran a fascist system that prioritized nationalism and private enterprise. Grok then explains socialism is class equality and worker ownership!
