An elderly woman, simply because she took a dislike to a stray dog, swung her broom relentlessly at a mere 4-month-old puppy. The little dog retreated in terror all the way, with nowhere left to go. One might have thought the chase would end there, but unexpectedly, the woman suddenly lifted her right foot and kicked viciously at the dog.

Facing a puppy that was already utterly defenseless, able only to bark helplessly, that kick was truly too much. This scene under the sunlight lacked the compassion that comes with being human, leaving only a chilling cruelty.
