@sentientsixp If it was something like Google Glass... maybe. If the right safety is built into it. Absurdly dangerous for a full VR headset though. You've got system crashes, sudden vision quality drops, lag, etc.. I don't see it ever being safe enough to drive with.

@map_easy @IntuitMachine The skills being taught here can't be replaced with the press of a button. It's the thinking that goes into an essay that counts. Text analysis, critical thinking, how to make an argument, etc. We live in the information age. Those skills are getting more important not less.

In college, my IT department chair said employers complained that IT grads struggled with communication. As an IT professional, I owe a lot the humanities classes I took. For my writing and thinking.

We elect representatives to vote on our behalf. Which is still a form of democracy. The power of the representatives still comes from the people.
