Art makes us empathetic, it concretizes and humanizes the things we’re fighting for. And empathy is SO important during a time like this—to keep us angry, demanding for accountability, and fighting for what’s right.
So artists have such an important role. Please keep creating and amplifying these real stories whether you’re a visual artist, writer, actor, comedian, drag artist, etc.

“Ingat po kayo ma’am. Di man ako makasama lumaban ngayon, may pamilya akong binubuhay—kaisa niyo po ako.”
😭
That man is actively participating in the rally kahit ang panawagan niya ay ibaba ang presyo ng street foods, kasi vendor siya. What’s so funny about that? He is fighting with us, against corruption. Nakakaiyak at nakakaawa pa na sa halip na pakinggan siya, nakulong pa siya.
