Matthew Stafford's one year extension with the LA Rams includes a $35 million option in 2027, and a $5 million parting gift roster bonus in 2028 which includes no offsets. Contract is setup for a Post June 1 transaction in 2028.

@jscottdoz @StephStradley The team has restructured/extended multiple players this offseason, lowering their respective cap charges and allowing the team to spend more cash. It is known as "Cash over Cap Spending". The Texans have the 2nd highest Cash to Cap Ratio at the moment.

#Eagles GM Howie Roseman said getting a 1st-round pick back was a must in any AJ Brown trade, and that the year of the pick didn’t matter:

“We’ve always been in the mindset that a pick is a pick. A first-round pick is a first-round pick. … Teams are still going to be playing football in 2028.”
