On this day in 1837, Big Foot Wallace was recuperating from a badly sprained ankle and camped in cave near present-day Strawn. Wallace was on a surveying trip and is considered to be the first Anglo to explore the Palo Pinto area.#onthisday #StrawnTx #TexasFortsTrails
