If you're looking for a gift for someone who's perhaps prone to anxiety or low mood then one of my Victorian ink bottle kits might be for you. The booklet in the kit describes how creative activity changes brain biochemistry to improve mental health.
If you know me on here & have a spare few seconds a RT would help so much. Some of my kits have sold which is fantastic (thankyou so much) but perhaps due to the financial climate not as many as usual. I know it's cringey to ask for support but I'm trying to get back on my feet after being v unwell-RTing would put my shop in front of more eyes x🌿

@catleonardart Those yr 11s will probably remember you and what you taught for a long time. Be prepared a few years from now to have one of them walk up to you and tell you how much they enjoyed your workshop.❤️
I’ve been struggling to keep going due to severe PMDD, burnout, depression & anxiety in the past 6 weeks but have been trying to hold on to small good things. These are hand-carved Victorian & Edwardian mother of pearl buttons, some so tiny they would have been used for baby clothes (tip of pencil bottom right for scale). Like ink bottles they’re small beautiful pieces of social history. Arranging & sorting them gave my brain some precious dopamine. Hope they do the same for your brain if it’s anxious or low rn:
@poojagarg1111 This is the second post I’ve read recently about the fact that some people don’t enjoy music. The comments are very revealing. Apparently people who do enjoy music cannot find it within their scope to imagine that someone else might have different tastes than they do.
This Sunday evening at 8pm UK time I’ll be opening my Etsy shop for a limited number of my Victorian ink bottle tiny posy kits designed to improve mental health & just 5 of my 2025 half calendars (29cm square, the photos can be framed afterwards). I’ve created both kits & calendars using recent neuroscientific research, to alleviate anxiety & lift mood by altering your brain biochemistry for the better. 🌿🧠
@LORWEN108 Years ago I made a wall hanging with the words “Sometimes you have to break a good thing, in order to make another, better thing.”
This thread by @LORWEN108 reminded me of that.
At a funeral last weekend, the Baptist preacher comforted the bereaved. So my recent count stands at two appalling Baptist funeral sermons to one very good one.
