@jasonstanley457 @JanePitt I can report back that it was crazy on Saturday. There were times we did not move for a few minutes. Lines were crazy long. Even parking was bad. I would go back but not on a Saturday afternoon.

The numbers from our Earth Day cleanup in Verona are in! 2,500 lbs of trash and 12 tires were removed from the Allegheny River shoreline and Allegheny River Blvd last Saturday. Thank you to all our volunteers & our event partners @publiclandsshop & @patagonia!

@JanePitt @gainey_ed I cleaned up this beautiful road in Penn Hills with 11 others on Saturday. When I drove on it 7 hours later, there was already a bottle and a bag. No doubt more now. It’s frustrating, but I’m going to continue pickups because I can’t stand to see trash

Mmhmm. I have been so unproductive today. When I got that initial alert, I stopped breathing. And when I read that someone said 6 people had been shot at CC, I lost it. That was an awful hour. Ah humanity.

Within minutes there were pretty strong indications that this was a false alarm. But the fear and uncertainty and the lockdowns and the disruption drag on and on. And a scar tissue forms with each of these little murders of the soul.
