Halo Campaign Evolved completely misses what made Halo: CE timeless.

Halo CE rewarded curiosity. You could squeeze vehicles through impossible doorways, drive off the beaten path, explore hidden corners, and even take the Warthog underwater. Guilty Spark reacted to your actions, Marines cheered and fist-pumped after big jumps, and every level had a unique atmosphere and sense of discovery.

Campaign Evolved replaces that freedom with invisible kill barriers.

Then it piles on forgettable prequel missions, awkward villain introductions, and level specific music that randomly plays out of context instead of enhancing the moment. Williams is painfully unlikeable, the Marines lost their personality, the dialogue and performances feel flat, the weapons lack impact, and Johnson doesn't sound or feel like Johnson. Cortana looks off, is inexplicably yellow in one scene, The Library has been reduced to generic metal corridors, classic cutscenes are gone, Elite death cries and dialogue have disappeared, UE5 is overly bright, and the excessive motion blur is nauseating.

Halo CE wasn't remembered because it had prettier graphics. It was remembered because it had atmosphere, mystery, freedom, personality, memorable AI interactions, and a world that begged you to experiment. Campaign Evolved recreates the surface but leaves behind the soul that made Combat Evolved a classic.

In case you didn't know, all of the allegations of sexual misconduct, abuse, harassment, and "frat boy culture" was entirely fake and the state of California even admitted that there was no evidence substantiating any of the claims.

The ENTIRE controversy around Blizzard was setup by California to force the company to stop hiring White men using MeToo allegations to strong arm them.

Some of these accusations were so bizarre and insane that they included:
- Theft and consumption of breastmilk during work hours
- A "rape room" named after Bill Cosby
- Sexual harassment to the point of an employee ending her own life

All of these claims were essentially a theatre performance over the fact that ONLY 1-in-5 of Blizzard employees were women.

As a result, Blizzard agreed to pay roughly 18M in fines and setup HR hiring practices that would discriminate against White men.

Internal messages between California Civil Rights Divison officials showed that the entire thing was a ploy to "send a message to the industry" to literally ruin videogames.

It was SO FUCKING FAKE that Brack and Kotick literally PAID THEIR OWN EMPLOYEES TO STAGE A WALK OUT.

After Blizzard capitulated and announced it would discriminate in its hiring the state walked back from a billion dollar lawsuit to a 55M settlement and announced that all the allegations were false.
