I grew up poor in a single-mother household. The 2 key examples missing from my childhood were:
1. A Dad
2. Good money management
Because of this, I’ve determined to be the absolute best dad and manager of money I can be.
My kids will not see the same struggles I did.
@The_MMW@iamcoriarnold Serious question: Is this Fiona Smith account a bot?
The majority of her comments are ChatGPT platitudes. 😅
The same comments over and over again made on the posts of large accounts.
@BrandMarz I’m a customer success manager.
Biggest challenge is staying focused. Tons of things around the house to distract me like my dogs, chores, etc..
I have to really zone in to get my admin work done.
Dog owners + finance nerds,
How much do you spend each month on your pupper?
I have 2 large dogs (1 golden, 1 collie mix) —and had to drop $305 to get them bathed, de-shed, and groomed today.
Feeling conflicted about this. 🥲
@sonofsats @Divinetraining1 I thought you were actually here to have an intelligible discussion.
The value of bitcoin is absolutely measurable in dollars—which is why you commented on post to tell me the $67k could’ve bought me 1 bitcoin.
(Even though it dropped to $63.2k today)
@cwcutwood A solid chunk were 6.6 % and another chunk was 5.2%.
That aside, it’s not poor financial management to pay off debt.
It’s embracing an opportunity cost, at worst.
@sonofsats @Divinetraining1 How is it different?
Its looking at a tradable asset in hindsight to tell someone “you could’ve had this if you would’ve done XYZ”
@Florida_Tesla Not sure.
If I recall correctly, his student loan debt forgiveness plan didn’t pass.
Additionally, I wouldn’t have met the requirements.
@Divinetraining1 @sonofsats It’s absolutely hindsight, bro. If I made this post in September of 2023, you wouldn’t be in this comment section saying “you could’ve had 1 bitcoin” because it was roughly $20k back then.
You get to make this comment today because of its current value.
Again - hindsight
