We should all personally thank Howard Yaruss and Ken Coughlin - activists for @transalt for volunteering to be traffic guards at the intersections of 72nd when their PERSONAL 2 way bike lane is installed. Against the objection of the 20,000 residents on 72nd and tens of thousands more in the community along with every small business like tip top shoes- these 2 and their bike cult told us last night we are going to love being mowed down by the e-bikes!! So thanks again for volunteering to show us why we will love it and how “enforcement” will work when no bike is licensed or registered and the @NYCMayor eliminated any enforcement on bikes.
Ken specifically should get a promotion for fulfilling his lobbyist duties to the NRA version of the bike lobby by giving every resident the proverbial middle finger who over and over expressed safety concerns- Once again proving @CB7Manhattan is not a volunteer community group - but a bunch of lobbyists acting on behalf of billionaire well funded activist organizations.

A lot of people think that Zohran Mamdani’s election as New York Mayor is the start of a transformation in US politics favoring the far left, but actually, Mamdani’s election as mayor is the start of a chain of events that will result in Jessica Tisch becoming the first woman president and the first Jewish president and the first cop president.
@NickKristof Gosh, Nick. Where was your concern when the Red Cross wasn’t visiting the hostages kidnapped by Hamas? Why weren’t you concerned about those Red Cross visits? Hmmm.
@ShaiDavidai Exactly this, Mahmoud: whether lying violent interlopers can illegally imprison hardworking custodians at the library of their university, injure people in an illegal takeover, threaten fellow students, all while guests in this country. Guests that can’t behave must go home. Bye
@B840D0o@Megmd514@NYC_DOT I have a very firm grip, thanks. It’s you who needs a grip, as it’d be impossible for there to be “less of a detour” than “no detour.” Oh well, you still might be able to build some intelligence. Everybody has potential, you just need to find yours. Good luck!
@B840D0o@Megmd514@NYC_DOT No, it does,'t block that path. The museum is surrounded by a park w/loads of paved paths leading directly from Columbus to CPW w/o requiring cyclists to even dismount-the exact kinds of paths cyclists are pedaling to & from CP to enjoy! More enjoyment for free and w/o a detour!
@infopobn@AFineBlogger There’s a crosstown westbound bike lane on W77th St and an eastbound one on W78th. Both are woefully underused. It’s absurd to build ANOTHER bike lane 5 blocks away in the busiest street in the area. . .unless your goal isn’t safe bike travel but is to wreak havoc on car traffic.
@NYCMayor Can you also address the disturbing incident of scores of grown men gathering for Muslim prayers outside an all girls’ Jewish day school despite there being a mosque located one block away? That is an act of intimidation and harassment. Why are you silent about that? @ADL
@marweezybabyyy@CochavElkayam Do you think October 7 was a peaceful day in the Middle East with Hamas singing Kumbaya to the Israeli peace activists living in the kibbutzim near the Gaza border?
@WhitneyTilson Whitney - you’re letting friendship cloud your judgment. False accusations of animal torture and bestiality readily erode anyone, even a Pulitzer Prize winner, of the title “incredible humanitarian.” Hitler was a talented painter, but no one lauds him as an “incredible artist.”
@kleib323@Hamncheze22@NYDailyNews Unclear if you’re pretending to dense or you really are. In case you’re not pretending: this convo began by saying the city needs to enact regulations to eradicate this kind of dangerous behavior rather than tolerating it.
