just saw a 6 year old Indian kid giving up his piggy bank savings for Nepal flood relief
such a touching act of compassion beyond borders, Indians may fight here on X but irl both the countries feel for each other
People praising KP Oli, Prachanda, Deuba, etc. just to criticize this government… I can’t even. If these people had actually done any good, the country wouldn’t have suffered this much in the first place. Criticize this government all you want but at least be constructive and please don’t whitewash these people.
Dear media professionals, please stop interviewing traumatized people.
Right now, they do not need cameras pushed into their faces or questions they are not emotionally prepared to answer.
నేపాల్ లో అద్భుతం !

A salute to the unparalleled bravery of the Nepali Army, risking their own lives to rescue their own people from the most dangerous places.
True heroes. 🇳🇵
Priya Adhikari is Nepal's first female helicopter captain and she's flown over 100 rescue missions in the wake of the devastating flood. Anderson speaks with her about what she's witnessed.
Nepal is one of the countries that has contributed the leastt to the global climate crisis, yet it is among those bearing most of its heaviestt consequences.
Nepal contributes only around 0.1% of global greenhouse emissions,
yet Year after year, Nepal faces devastating floods,
My country is going through a devastating time, and thousands of people need support.
You don’t have to give a lot. Even a small contribution can make a difference.
If you’re able, please donate and help Nepal get back on its feet🇳🇵💔

I genuinely don’t understand how we are supposed to casually process that a glacier literally collapsed in Nepal, erasing 19 bridges and killing over 600 people, because the planet is too hot. And instead of stopping it, billionaires are building more data centres. It is completely psychotic.
#NEPAL: This is incredible. 1,643 children survived because one headmaster acted fast when disaster was already on the way.
He received a warning that a village upstream had been swept away by the river. He immediately rang the school bell and moved the children and teachers to higher ground.
School buses were on the way to school, He called the bus drivers and told them: "Don't come here. Go back."
One school bus was already on its way. The headmaster saw it approaching the bridge and told the driver to turn back. The bus reached safety just before the bridge collapsed.
Then the flood hit the school. The entire three-storey school was washed away. It completely vanished. Not even a trace was left behind.
But all 1,643 children survived.
47 year old Rajendra Dadabi a teacher who became a hero when it mattered most. One man's quick thinking saved 1,643 lives.
His friend from upstream who called him to warn him about the flash floods and his quick thinking and decisive leadership saved the lives of everyone. He basically saved a generation of Nepalese 🙏
🇳🇵 The house was already sitting in the river, then a boy climbed onto the roof and started waving his T-shirt at the sky.
That was the only signal he had... Then a Nepal Army helicopter dropped in close enough for a soldier to grab his hand and pull him off the roof.
Hundreds are still missing, but thankfully this kids made it out.
