AI gives us a tremendous #opportunity right now to democratize innovation across #Europe.

With #Ameca (the humanoid robot ) right behind me on stage, it really set the tone. As CEO of Natech Banking Solutions I shared a few thoughts that are very close to home for me.

We no longer have to rely on a few big hubs neither do we need to race against China or USA on building larger LLMs... we can excel at something bigger and better... Innovate on top of that and regulate properly.
Innovation can happen in #Athens, in #Sofia, in #Ioannina ... in any city or town. We are shifting from technology that is consumed everywhere to technology that can be created anywhere.
This is a game changer for so many industries, including ours.

Europe has a real chance here. We are strong in regulation and we can build what I call a “House of Trust” around AI, with transparency, safety and responsibility. That can become our competitive advantage.

At the same time, working in #banking I see the gap every day. Our phones and everyday devices are far more advanced and user friendly than many banking applications. There is huge room for improvement and AI can help us close it.
The biggest risk is not that we won't do it perfectly. The real risk is not doing it at the right time. Timing matters a lot. We need to move faster in Europe.

The future belongs to those who act with both urgency and responsibility... so we need to act fast . Europe needs to act faster rather trying to be perfect before doing so...

@GreekAnalyst Στα #ioannina εκτός του πολύ στενού κέντρου για να έχεις γρήγορο internet στηρίζεσαι σε μικροκυμματική ζεύξη ή 5G. Φυσικά κανένα δεν είναι επαρκές για σοβαρή εμπορική δραστηριότητα. (Ιστορίες ελληνικού «κάλλους» που κάποιος εύκολα βγάλει κάλους τρέχοντας στους υπεύθυνους).

It’s a multidimensional problem unfortunately. Social , economical etc factors contribute to this… I was talking to a US investor and he was adamant : #companies (we will be investing in) in Greece need to move to #Athens for various reasons . Well … I guess #Amsterdam has a similar problem as well

@GreekAnalyst we are heavily investing in making other locations, including #Ioannina a #techhub and attract talents and other companies as well. definitely the government must take measures in improving infrastructure, promote o FDI & make efforts towards improving access to other EU cities

@GreekAnalyst @Deloitte Υπάρχουν πολλά που κάποιος μπορεί να εκμαιεύσει από αυτό ( επίδραση σε μισθούς - κόστος ζωής κτλ ) αλλά είναι εμφανώς έντονη η ανάγκη για μεγαλύτερη προσπάθεια στην αποκέντρωση με επενδύσεις σε υποδομές που θα επιτρέψουν περισσότερους να επιλέγουν πόλεις στην περιφέρεια .
