Ideal or effective?

Far too often I’m plagued with the inner desire for an idealized reality or solution. I can picture what would work best and can end up procrastinating or not taking action on something because it isn’t perfect (or at least close enough to my ideal).

But life isn’t ideal, and leadership doesn’t wait for life to magically line up with our goals or expectations.

Leadership is about using what you have and striving to be effective more than trying to be perfectly polished and professional.
